'Les Charmes' is a blend of wines, 60% of which comes from Mâconnais in the area of Lugny. Here, the soil is abnundant with limestone, assuring freshness and mineral structure. Otherwise, 40% of the wine comes from Montagny in the Côte Chalonnaise where clay and white marl are more present, providing a gorgeous roundness and density to the wine.
Expect citrus flavours on the palate with subtle, ripe butterscotch present too. The texture is wonderful and silky. There are some marked golden delicious apple flavours that linger alongside floral notes, and, ultimately, a refined, minty finish.
